This not only gives you synchromesh in all the gears, but the fifth gear is an overdrive which will allow these cars to operate much more comfortably at freeway speeds. After using the 5-speed conversion in my Bugeye Sprite, I keep my eyes open for Datsun transmissions applicable for this purpose since they are getting increasingly difficult to find. After I pulled the transmission, I noticed that it had the A15 motor, which is the largest of this series.
The accepted first use of the term was in The Times, London in In the 50s and 60s, sports cars were defined in British terms. Famously, there were Corvettes but they were big and bulky and certainly not nimble.

User Name Remember Me? Could someone put a Miata engine in a British Car? I managed to stumble onto a site that had some great pictures and descriptions of British sportscars.
As with all engine conversions, there are very many considerations at every stage of the project. This is not intended to be a comprehensive 'to-do' list nor a set of instructions. It's possible to buy all the items needed for a conversion off-the-shelf, from engine mounts to propshaft; the trade-off of course is cost vs.
This MG Midget runs a turbocharged, cc Suzuki three-cylinder mated to a 5-speed, and though the retrofitted, later-style and body color-painted rubber bumpers are far from ideal, the swap is pretty creative and sounds like it could be a lot of fun. The wheels are a good start, though some better sized tires and a swap back to the correct, small chrome bumpers would be visual improvements. What really makes this one stand out is the cc Kei truck engine, and though similar in configuration to the DOHC turbo triple used in the Suzuki Cappuccino and Mazda Autozam AZ-1this one looks to have a single cam head.
Going to look at what is supposed to be a clean AZ Midget with a vintage race legal bar but missing an engine the Spit deal fell apart at the last minute. What's the easiest way to get WHP? Does not necessarily have to be vintage legal at this time but preference would be given to that.
A hero in Dayton, Ohio, named Chuck Bridgman has conducted a rather interesting engine swap in one of the most charming cars from the era of the British roadster. He found a MG Midget with a broken engine big surprise and swapped out its original 1,cc inline-four shared with the Triumph Spitfire for an unexpected powerplant. Despite being a smaller engine designed for a smaller vehicle with half the wheels, this is actually a significant performance upgrade for the car.
