It was late one night… I was hanging out with the guys again… You know the usual Joey, Ross, and I… We just finished coming back from our favorite place… Central Perk… We were heading back to the apartment when Ross remembered he had to go pick his son Ben from his ex-wife's apartment Carol… Ross then said, "ok guys well I have to go… Hey, we all gonna meet at Monicas in the morning" … Joey then sarcastically said, "well when do we not Ross" … While making one of his perfect expressions that always make me laugh… Ross then said, "oh right ok well I have to go bye guys"… Looks like it's just Joey and I now… As Joey opened the apartment door we both walked in… Joey does his usual walk to the fridge to see what we have to eat… Hey Joey could you be any more hungry? I continued eating After I was done with my sandwich, I told Joey I was gonna head to bed … Joey reminded me that the chick and the duck both shit in our rooms earlier when I went to Ross's … I then asked Joey why he did not clean it up… Joey then said, "well I did but the smell still stayed in their, and we kinda ran out off room spray" … Ok it can't be that bad… I walked into the room and a fume of shit hit me like a brick wall… I backed up and asked Joey … "Well were do you think we should sleep"… Joey then said, "Well we can both crash on the futon"… "Ok what are we seven years old at a sleepover" … Joey then says, "well either that or the floor"… Ok I call the left side….
By Tom Fordy. Could Friends be any more everywhere at the moment? For ten whole seasons, Friends did a disservice to men everywhere.
Ross Eustace Geller, Ph. Ross is considered by many to be the most intelligent member of the group and is noted for his goofy but lovable demeanor. And hence, Schwimmer was the first person to be cast on the show.
Chandler: You told him to play the boxer gay? Joey: Well, I might have said "super-gay. Monica: Joey, you're this guy's teacher.
They are extremely puzzling, especially given the fact that series co-creator David Crane is openly gay. Not in any particular order, just what horrified us the most. Scenes in this episode have the man claiming that going to poetry readings makes you gay, playing into the offensive stereotype that non-straight individuals are out to recruit as many people as possible, something that has been proven to be untrue and utterly absurd.
One of the main plot points of Friends is the struggle to find love. The following is a list of relationships the six main characters have had throughout the series, sorted by character. Barry Farber was engaged to Rachel inbut Rachel leaves him at the altar when she realizes she doesn't love him after finding herself more turned on by a gravy boat.
The whole Sandy debacle. Even with the "product of its time" factor, watching Ross' brain melt down over the idea of a straight man wanting to care for children is so cringe-worthy. As much as yes, it's a TV show and therefore ridiculous things happen, in reality he probably would have been sued for asking invasive questions about the nanny's sexuality and then firing him because he was a man.
It's fascinating to see how time can change our perception of a show's politics so dramatically. When it was on the air, "Friends" was viewed as one of the most progressive shows on television, particularly when it came to LGBT issues. Gay-themed publications seemingly ran articles on "Friends" every other month.
Friends is one of the most iconic sitcoms of all time because it's stuffed with humor, drama, and six characters who pull tightly on your heartstrings. It's one of my favorite shows ever ; the fights, romances, and slapstick moments from the Central Perk crew defined my taste in entertainment. They were always there for me.
